Fleet History

Serenity Station

Serenity Station's beginnings arose from the strife of the Dominion War. Starfleet began to take heavy fleet losses and realized the need for a new medical & repair facility on the front lines. A few months later, Serenity was being constructed. This station was built to repair damaged ships and treat injured crew but soon after construction a new problem arose.

Serenity Station history and specifications

Serenity soon found itself in need of a fleet to both defend and be deployed on rescue missions. All too often Federation ships in distress were in an area far too dangerous to send a lone medical ship or runabout.

The solution: the Firefly fleet was born.

The Firefly Fleet

This new fleet flew many missions during the war to retrieve adrift and derelict vessels, however, it quickly became notorious due to its "torpedo happy" commanders. One of the fleet's most notable battles was "The Second Battle of Chin'toka." The Firefly Fleet lost several ships in the actual battle (three hundred and eleven Allied ships were lost total) but due to the Breen & Dominion ships holding their fire, the rescue ships were able to retrieve all of the escape pods and flee the system. The Firefly Fleet was involved in many other rescue ops during the war, but none compared to that particular battle. It truly was a dark day in the history of the Dominion war.

After the war, Serenity Station was upgraded to a fully armed Starbase positioned near the badlands. Its mission, however, is as relevant today as it was in the war. Search & Rescue!

The Fleet Today

The creation of Serenity Station was originally overseen by Dr Amy Weaver, Captain and Chief Medical Officer of the USS Kaywinnet Lee. On the station's commissioning, Dr. Weaver was promoted to Admiral and re-assigned - but disappeared during a firefight with the Borg. She is now listed as Missing In Action.

Upon her re-assignment to her new post, Captain Baumer was promoted to Acting Fleet Admiral of the Firefly Fleet. Under him is Admiral Pyriel Danto (the Fleet Executive Officer), Admiral Exezer (the Second Officer of the Fleet), and Danto's wife, Commander Jonjah Danto (Chief of Operations on Serenity Station).

Joining The Firefly Fleet

From Fleet Admiral Baumer:

Greetings! I am Baumer, commander of Serenity Station & The Firefly Fleet. We are currently looking for members who need a fleet to call home. Whether you are a hotshot pilot, tactician, doctor, or engineer, you are more than welcome with us.

As Dr. Weaver once said to us: All you need to know is how to get your crew out there, get our folks out, and get 'em all home. ...Because I've been to one side of this 'verse and t'other. And there's no reward, no medal, no payoff, like bringing someone home to their family.

Those words are as true today as when she said them. So feel free to fill out an application to join us!

To Join: Please post your application here.

One last thing: You do not need to be a fan of Serenity to join us. This is, after all, a Federation Fleet, however, Serenity and Firefly fans are definitely welcome!

"Vos Can Non Take Divum Nobis"~ You can't take the Sky from us!

Baumer out.

End Transmission
