| Class: | Which class the ship belongs to |
| Category: | Which of the three categories (Escort, Science or Cruiser) the ship belongs to |
| Faction: | Which major faction the ship belongs to. At the date of release of STO this should be United Federation of Planets or Klingon Empire |
| Fleet Affiliation: | Which fleet the ship belongs to. If there isn't a specific fleet then this should be either Starfleet or Klingon Defense Force |
| Base of Operations: | Where the ship would usually return to for resupply and refit |
| Commanding Officer: | Who the captain or commanding officer of the ship is |
| Commissioned: | The date the ship came into service |
| Current Status: | Whether this ship is still in active service or currently out of action |

The Name & Registry of the ship
Category: What kind of duties you plan to use the ship for, ie. Escort, Science, Cruiser, etc.
Class: The class the ship belongs to, along with any notes concerning refits or subtypes
Production Base: Where the ship was either built or commissioned
Accommodation: The number of officers and crew assigned to the ship
Power Plant: The power generation capabilities of the ship
Performance: The engine capabilities of the ship
Armament: The specific weapon capabilities of the ship, including any additional mounts, weapon upgrades or refits
Special Equipment: Any equipment on board the ship which wouldn't be considered to be standard to its class or type
Dimensions
Length: How long the ship is in meters
Beam: How wide the ship is in meters
Height: How tall the ship is in meters
Mass: How heavy the ship is in metric tons, measured at 1G in standard atmospheric conditions
Standard tactics
How you like to operate, whether you're a tanker assaulting any enemies in range, a scout/infiltrator who prefers to remain undetected or a support craft who likes to hold back, adding your capabilities to the other ships in your task force
Strengths
The factors which set you above the other players in the game, the things which you think you do well at
Weaknesses
The areas of the game you do poorly in, things you prefer to avoid if possible
History
This section is for you to record any significant achievements, or noteworthy defeats your ship has faced, along with any awards or commendations the ship as a whole has been awarded.
Crew
This section is to note the name, rank and rating of the bridge officers on board your ship. In some cases you may want to either expand this section with additional details on the officers or even create seperate articles with detailed bios for them
