The Klingon Empire (also referred to as the Imperial Klingon Empire or Klingon Imperial Empire) was the official state of the Klingon people. The Empire was founded roughly 1500 years ago by Kahless the Unforgettable, who first united the people of Qo'noS. Since this time the Klingon Empire has expanded it's foothold through conquering and violent conflict.
