Personality
Jack is excitable and easy going, witty and occasionally cheeky. He is, to the irritation of some, very aware of his superior intelligence. He barely acknowledges rank, preferring to give respect to those who earn it to him personally. Despite his easy going nature, he has shown a ruthless and vengeful side.

Biography
Like all Sysruko, nothing is known about Jack’s early life. The first Federation record of his existence is an arrest report filed at Deep Space 14 in 2388. Three Nausicaans had been causing trouble for a Ferengi store owner. Jack intervened and was chased through the station by the Nausicaans. Thinking they had him cornered, they taunted him by shooting their disruptors around him. As they went for the kill, Jack ducked, causing them to hit a waste extraction pipe. Security arrived to find the Nausicaans unhappy and smelly. Although Jack was arrested with the Nausicaans, the charges against him were dropped.
Jack spent much of the next eleven years wandering from world to world and Starbase to Starbase. He displayed an incredible knack for finding and getting into trouble. In 2399, in light of increasing political tensions, Jack decided to formerly become a Federation citizen. In 2400, with the help of Ensign Arbol, Keresa and Anaplekta, Jack helped the Delta androids achieve sentience and rebel against a shadowy Starfleet research facility. Finding himself unable to keep out Starfleet’s business and frequently helping Starfleet Security, he decided to enrol in Starfleet Academy with the recommendation of the USS Corbenic’s Captain.

Jack was the bane of most of his instructors. He was more knowledgeable than most of them and was not shy in demonstrating that fact. He spent most of his Temporal Mechanics course in the Academy gym doing press-ups for his disruptive behaviour. He also scored frustratingly high marks. One exception to this was a paper on early Starfleet history that was riddled with inaccuracies and contradictions, though Jack maintains that his version is correct and that it is Starfleet's records that are wrong.
