Physical Appearance

The world of Kuforia is host to a landmass with an area of nearly 47,000,000 square miles and two polar tips of constantly refreezing ice. Between the three major landmasses lies nothing more than water and ruins of ancient creatures. From space, the central landmass is generally seen as a green mesh of tropical and deciduous forestry, with massive black circles of architecture gradually decreasing in size. While spinning hurricanes constantly plunder the oceans of Kuforia, the central landmass and the planet's polar regions are normally safe--though still victimized by the consistent heavy rains.

Geographical Appearance

While Kuforia is technically considered a Class M planet, the climate of the world is generally consistent and average. However, this is subject to change as the world's ecosystem is relatively unstable and has a tendency to flux between everything from massive rainforests to heavy tundras. The world's plate movement shows extreme inactivity and the planet is seemingly lacking of earthquakes, volcanoes, and seismic activity in general.

Points of Interest (PoI)

Although Kuforia is a class M planet, it still contains many oddities outside of class M bounds.

Eye of Foria

  • A massive hurricane revolving around the central landmass of Kuforia. In known Kuvarian history the Eye of Foria has only halted twice; once for an extreme ice age, and once-more for a severe drought. After each event, the eye has promptly regenerated and continued its path around the super continent.
Point Zero
  • Coldest point on planet, generally averaging an anomaly-like -25°F. While it is known as a singular point, there is a Point Zero on each polar cap. Said areas of the planet are mostly void of all life aside from unique archaebacteria and heavily insulated ForiaSuits used to sustain pipeline activity in the caps.

Super City

While most worlds have thousands of cities, Kuforia contains but one massive citystate known as Terjedelmes. Terjedelmes is a known mainly by its ability to light up the world, even while covered by the darkest of rainclouds. The city and its subsections generally give the world an appearance of being cut into rings, as Terjedelmes is focused primarily into spherical subsectors. Each subsector is built for efficiency in transporting basic materials inwards and outwards as needed, and also modeled off of a basic social field. In Terjedelmes, the smallest circle signifies high-classed political figures while the circles containing it are prone to a gradual loss in social grace.

Despite Kuforia having tight boundaries and tough laws, rebellion and crime are relatively common. However, crime is so frequent that it is a major staple in the Kuvarian society.

Circles of Terjedelmes

Outermost Circle: The Circle of White (CoW)

In the outermost circle of Terjedelmes lies the coast of the supercontinent, a land dimly lit by heavy machinery and emergency lights. It is here that weather conditions are constantly under attack by the Eye of Foria and heavy storms. Because of its location and the amount of suffering that its inhabitants endure, the outermost circle is generally associated to the most negative color of Kuvarian culture: white, even though the colors found here are mostly red and yellow.

The outermost circle is primarily home to the few failed criminals of inner rings and the neutral-born inhabitants of the second-to-last ring. The male and female workers of the White Circle generally find themselves working on freshwater pipelines in ForiaSuits to resist the extreme conditions. Because of the harsh weather, most of the Kuvarian living quarters in this sector are built on high ground and built of extremely resistant material.

The White Circle is the closest thing to a death sentence that Kuvarians have. While many in this circle are well taken care of, few inhabitants will often be destroyed due to social disputes and mechanical failures.

Second-outermost Circle: The Circle of Repent (CoR)

The Circle of Repent is the home to the later generations of past criminals, and sometimes the home to present criminals lucky enough to be bumped up from the White Circle. It is here that the water from pipelines is cured and manufactured to the later circles. Also here is a training center built for any Kuvarian interested in the Terjedelmes Civil Protection Agency (TCPA). The TCPA base in this circle is centered around basic physical training, weapons manufacturing, and combat training.

While its inhabitants generally stay here for multiple generations, the time until citizens are allowed to move up is determined by the severity of the crime committed by their criminal ancestor, or the criminal himself. The Circle of Repent also suffers enough damage from weather that the buildings are also built of heavy steel. However, its inhabitants are not permitted to use ForiaSuits for the sole purpose of money; the ForiaSuits are very expensive and not needed in sub-extreme conditions.

Third-outermost Circle: The Circle of Neutrality (CoN)

A remnant of Kuvarian civil war, segments of the third circle are filled with debris and sealed off to the general public. It is here that the the future generations of criminals find themselves moving into a more normal lifestyle. The inhabitants of this circle are under constant threat of damp and stormy working environments, heavy lifting, and low-lying radiation of past warfare. Also here is an expansion of the CoR's military training base. It is in this circle that the military scans and files intelligence levels, along with training for physical fitness. The TCPA base also encourages active participation in experimental space-training sessions to strengthen the newly formed Kuvarian Space Navy.

In the end, the CoN's purpose is to bring citizens back into the civil life of a Kuvarian. Some other occupations in this area aside from the military are, but not limited to: debri scout, construction worker, rehabilitation architect, psychological examiner, transportation professional, and radiation researcher.

Inner Circle: Level 3 (L3)

Once out of the circle of neutrality, citizens of Terjedelmes find themselves with new opportunities. The world officially opens up in the third circle of the city, and it is in L3 that people find themselves in a more civil state. The weather is a constant breeze with a rather average drizzle and the streets are flooded with not just rain, but lines of fluorescent vehicles; quickly skittering over the massive drainage gate of a highway.

The people here find themselves living their lives in content privacy amongst the TCPA. The second-to-last expansion of the TCPA is here and the citizens who decide to take refuge in their ranks are trained with physical, mental, and astrological knowledge. Here, a select few of the TCPA recruits work at one of the four shuttle factories on new technology, or just to produce more vehicles (each factory is built opposite to the other; one in the north, south, east, and west). The rest of the TCPA recruits in this section are dispersed amongst the six circles of Terjedelmes to protect the city from criminal activity.

L3 is home to the largest population of Kuvarians, sometimes even leading to overpopulation. When overpopulation takes place, the homeless are generally moved to CoN for easier job access. Another consequence of overpopulation is the increase of crime, thus adding to the CoW and forming a self-sufficient cycle for the Kuvarian society.

Also here is the home to the main Kavarian sport: Darschveil, a game similar to the human sport of football, though set in a goo-based cube that allows free movement in three dimensions. Because it is home to such a casual game, the L3 circle is also where many executives go to for vacations.

Inner Circle: Level 2 (L2)

Despite the small barrier between L3 and L2, L2 is significantly higher class. The packed apartment buildings and flood-heavy streets are but a thing of myth in the bright-lighted, sky-scraping, world of L2. While L2 still contains rain, the rain is much lighter and is but a persistent sprinkle in this area. The hover vehicles in L2 are also much more expensive and bright, swiftly sending their owners from business meeting to political speech at a constant.

Occupational-wise, S2 is but a giant law firm and med school--laced with the serious-faced businessmen and women who drive Kuforia as a whole. These people will sometimes find themselves in debt to the government and reverted all the way back to the CoW, but are prone to staying in place and studying lore or procedures for the rest of their lives--only to hope that their offspring would get fragments of their own knowledge.

The few children who are blessed with their father's knowledge are more likely to succeed and find themselves in higher positions, they may even progress onto S1.

Inner Circle: Level 1 (L1)

The innermost circle of Terjedelmes, L1 is the primary area of direct political power. Here is where the president of Terjedelmes makes important decisions and allows the other seats of power to pass or deny the movements. Because it is such a heavy area of politics, L1 is heavily guarded by the TCPA; L1 is also home to the largest TCPA base in the citystate known as "Fort Ares". Fort Ares houses the higher ranking members of TCPA and finds itself launching more and more ships to space in attempt to popularize the Kuvarian space navy. At the same time, said space ships have been sold to the highest bidder and have also been stolen/hijacked by criminals.

L1's climate is similar to L2's, though the rain here is less active and the temperature is normally somewhere in the mid-sixties (fahrenheit).

Political Status

A Choice for the Future

The current leader of Kuforia is a neutral-born leader named Ñeero Valvidian. Currently, Ñeero's time in the central seat is running out. This has resulted in two other candidates rising up and battling for the position in office.

One of the men battling for office is Yekiv Asklaw, a Kuvarian born with the rare disease known as rostral protrusion melanosis. This political figure has an urge to raise Kuforia as a military-based planet. If he makes his way into office, Kuvarians will be forced into military and/or navy recruitment upon a certain age, and the planet itself will side with the Klingon empire. At the same time, the planet itself will be set entirely under a reform for greater efficiency. And to top it off, scientific research will lead to a more "pure" version of Kuvarians (an experiment meant to make all newborn Kuvarians have black protrusions/depressions).

Sarathen DaVore

The other figure yearning for the political seat is Sarathen DaVore, a man rising all the way from the CoN to the L1. This rare occurrence has gained him some heavy media attention--both good and bad. If Sarathen makes his way into office, Kuforia will find itself attempting to ally-up with the United Federation of Planet against the Klingon Empire.

Regardless of who will win, current residents of Kuforia are leaving the planet to join either side as they see fit. This will, more than likely, come to a halt after the election has ended.

Religion

The Benefactors

Though most cultures rely on deities above and beyond them, the majority of the Kuvarian society pays its respects to paragon-like figures known as "The Benefactors." The Benefactors are a list of both male and female Kuvarians who have, at one point, added something to Kuvarian knowledge as a whole. The image of Benefactors are often associated with certain products by highly classed businesses, and while it is considered taboo by most people, it is not quite illegal.

In Terjedelmes, there are several shrines, churches, halls, and other monumental totems dedicated to different Benefactors. These areas are often attended to by the masses in respect for the task that each Benefactor partook in. While most Benefactors are Kuvarian, there are some who are from an outside race.

Because of the whole concept of worshiping physical beings, the idea behind the universe's creation as a whole is left at its long-known label of "unknown." However, in the past there was a set of views known now as the "Old Views."

The Old Views

The Old Views were originally a series of statements and ideas made by intellectually and aggressively born Kuvarians. These views were based off the idea that an almighty Kuvarian in the sky held Kuforia in his right hand, set to a constant spin in his palm. Because of the spinning, the world was set to turn in place and thus day and night were invented. With this idea in place, it is obvious that the Old Views were flawed to begin with, as that would mean Kuforia would not rotate around a central star.

The supposed Kuvarian-deity had the ability to judge all beings on the world by simply looking upon Kuforia, and those who were unworthy of his grace had a curse cast upon them--the curse of ignorance. Once the curse was cast, said Kuvarian was unable to have any children with his knowledge pre-placed into its brain. If he did, the child would be a female and unable to pass the knowledge down to her offspring.

While the controllers of the religion had held Kuforia's populace in place by their ideals and forceful recruiting, it slowly began to deteriorate when some of the first Benefactors showed up. These Benefactors would often fight or simply give an idea that contradicted The Old Views; while this would seal their fate to inevitable death, many of their offspring carried on parental knowledge. With some of these Benefactors working at taking down The Old Views for centuries, the set of laws failed and a new system of honoring major paragons took over.

List of Major Benefactors

  • Akavian Leyeronski- One of the first Benefactors to ever be highly recognized by the world, Akavian is known for his recognition of not only the laws of gravity, but physics and many formulas that run daily life of Kuforia. During his lifetime he was brutally murdered by protectors of The Old Views, thus ending his family tree. At the time of his being, the Old Views were considered law--and to question them was nothing more than treason and lies.

  • Makas Vertego- The oldest Benefactor to date, Makas was an aggressive-born Kuvarian set on destroying The Old Views by force. While he was unable to rally a sufficient force of power, his attack sprung a chain reaction to the opposing of The Old Views. While his being died centuries ago, Makas's last heir with his knowledge had been sent into the CoW for murder and was killed promptly after by "ForiaSuit malfunction." Because of Makas's aggressive personality, he is often idolized by more warlike Kuvarians.
  • Kervori Landavia- Despite most major Benefactors having aggressive or calm presets, Kevori was a major wakeup-call to neutral-born Kuvarians. As a yellow-protrusioned Kuvarian, Kervori sought to sustain peace and to raise a lasting form of government for Kuforia as a whole. Though he died from natural causes before he completed his work, he inspired many neutral-born men and women to move from their labor-based occupations to governmental concerns. Also of note is that his main work, the Law of the Land, is now commonly referred to in political concerns.
  • Visk Dalderpian- A Kuvarian suffering from rostral depression melanosis (RDM), she was originally recognized for her research into a rare side effect of RDM. Visk was one of the rare cases where memories passed down from both parents had collided and sent her into an occasional parental relapse. When this happened, her brain's stability would deteriorate and she eventually died from consequences of the issue. As such with other Benefactors, Visk never found a cure to RDM's side effects, and there is still no known cure. However, her being female has inspired other female Kuvarians to better lives.

Military

Though still emerging into the space age, Kuforia's world has been attacked by another species a number of times. While all of the recorded invasions have been repelled, the attackers identity is unknown. Because of the high-level invasion threat, the world has been heavily fortified by laser cannons and other defense-based devices. On the other hand, Kuvarian history has been rich with civil war, betrayal, and sea-based assaults. Due to this, the Terjedelmes Civil Protection Agency (TCPA) and the Kuvarian Space Navy (KSN) exist to protect and defend the land of Terjedelmes itself.

Terjedelmes Civil Protection Agency

A loosely formed militia of Kuvarians in every sector, the TCPA is a prime example of how quickly and easily they can be pushed to physical and mental boundaries. While the TCPA strives to be useful in many situations, the main idea behind their organization is to protect and serve Terjedelmes for the good of Kuforia. However, this idea can be and has been interpreted in several different ways. Said interpretations were also the ones that, ironically enough, lead to the nuclear civil war in the CoN.

Past actions aside, the TCPA was once the only form of protection that Kuvarians had. And as such, citizens of Terjedelmes have come to depend on them.

Kuvarian Space Navy

The Kuvarian Space Navy is a space-based military authorized to use force during hostile interactions with others. The KSN is also encouraged to, and sent out on, reconnaissance missions in space. It is because of the KSN that the Kuvarians now know of the Federation and the Klingons and it is because of the KSN that Kuforia has been able to hold peaceful negotiations with each of the two factions; the original negotiation crew was the KSNS (Kuforia Space Navy Ship) Terjedelmes. Two months after their original mission, all contact was lost. Once the second liaison team went out, they found that the KSNS Terjedelmes had been destroyed in a battle against the Borg.

The second liaison that was sent out was known as the KSNS Akavian. Unlike its predecessor, the KSNS Akavian made it to the Federation base stationed in the Sol system with a fully functional navigational system. Because of this, many other starships from the KSN have been reportedly making contact with Federation ships.

At the same time, other ships from the KSN have made contact with Klingon fleets. While not all negotiations with the Klingons have been successful, they are still a potential ally. As such, many KSN resources have gone to assist the Klingon Empire as well. The side that will get full Kuvarian support will be decided by the next political leader, an election for which will take place in the near future.

While the KSN is not as advanced as the Federation, the ships built by the KSN are built sturdy and fast--which is just enough to get them where they need to be, and for what they need to do.

More recently, the KSN has come into contact with the Federation, with whom they allowed the creation of Starbase 805: "Genesis." This starbase, though its inhabitants are not permitted to access Kuforia, is the Federation's first attempt at establishing diplomatic relations with the Kuvarian people.
