Star Trek Online Geekipedia:Nominations for featured articles
From Star Trek Online Geekipedia
This page is for the nomination and discussion of articles that may be potentially included in the Star Trek Online Geekipedia list of featured articles. Featured articles are also displayed on the main page of the wiki. A featured article is an especially well-written, informative, and comprehensive article that covers all available information on a subject.
Any registered user may nominate any article for inclusion in the list of featured articles. When you nominate an article, include a short description of why you think that the article should be featured. If you are nominating an article that you have worked on, please note that fact in your description. The nomination is then open to discussion, and anyone may comment about the inclusion of the article in the list. For voting ("Support" or "Oppose") you have to fullfill some requirements. And, as always, please sign your nominations and comments with "~~~~".
When you are commenting on a nomination, please take the time to read the entire article before you decide whether to support or oppose the nomination.
A nomination can be resolved if it has been inactive for seven days. It is considered successful if there have been five or more votes, with all objections resolved. For the purposes of counting votes, the original nomination is considered to be the first vote of the five required.
Optionally, a notice that the article has been nominated as a featured article candidate may be added to the article by inserting {{fac}} at the top or bottom of the article.

USS Kubikiri
I'm finally satisfied enough with my ship page to put it up for nomination. The USS Kubikiri is a small, mean, hard hitting beauty with a crew to match. Pitting itself up against bigger, tougher opponents are still coming out with her hull intact the scrappy fighter deserves to be given a second look.

- OPPOSE First, I would like to say it was a great read. I liked how you implimented your crew and with specs of each one. There are a few things about the article that I want to point out. The main thing with the article is Flow. It starts off with ship specs. Weapons, Dimentions, ect.ect.ect. Then Standard Tactics. History, Crew, and then to special equipment. Where is the flow? Another thing I would like to more in this article is it's Strengths & Weaknesses. I feel like there could be more info there. Dates...important, When was the ship commisioned? When was the modular systems removed? How long has your Captain been Captain of USS Kubikiri? ect..ect..ect more dates. I know it's classified but just like in the Marines when I was in, it's only classified until someone wants to know about it. Plus, in your history you said "only to be heard from when submitting intelligence reports to their superiors and when calling into remote starbases for resupply" So who are you in contact with? Classifies? Also, every supply at a starbase is accounted for and should that infomation get out...then who took the supplies? Maybe this is a potential weekness? Resupply? I liked the placement and size of your pictures. They look great. I guess I have taken on the roll of Simon Cowell.(Admin Vazuras 17:29, 24 March 2010 (UTC))
- Shouldn't that be information is Classified until someone with sufficient security clearance wants to know about it? The idea of this ship is that she's a long-range recon vessel working outside of normal the Starfleet chain of command. As such only high ranking officers within Starfleet Intelligence would be given the clearance to know everything about her, and even then only if certain other interested parties decided it was in the best interests of the Federation. For more details see Article 14, Section 31 of the Starfleet Charter. :D
- The problem with dates is that I'm planning on using this ship for a long time, and as the game develops the timelines are sure to be moved along to accont for new material being added by Cryptic. When this happens I'd have to constantly be revising the dates of commission and refit to match up to the new official timelines, a bit like the way Superman is still the same age after fifty years. Rather than doing that I've deliberately left things vague, giving me the leeway to modify the article in the future.
-Jezebel1669 23:38, 31 March 2010 (UTC)- I understand your point on the Classified for sure...but I am just trying to get you to think more about your ship from a different perspective. I am the reader and I like the idea but more is what I seek. Because you have "deliberately left things vague" this is why I would like to see more. Also, do you agree with the flow of the article...you didn't say anything about that? (Admin Vazuras 00:23, 1 April 2010 (UTC))
- SUPPORT This article provides a lot of interesting information about the ship in question. I'm not sure that the above comments about requiring more detail are accurate! Serenissima 04:37, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

USS Rafale
I'd like to nominate an article. USS Rafale. Yes, I wrote it, but I think it's got what it takes. Certainly like to at least get the ball rolling on it. J St. Peter 1349, 17 April 2010
Galen Sturgess
I'd like to nominate my own character profile - there is also the one for my ship, the USS Peregrine, however I feel that the profile contains more interesting and useful information than the rather drier ship page.
I'm biased, of course, but I think it's a good page ;) Berym 06:32, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose I have to be honest I don't know if this is a Character Page/Ship Page/Bridge Officer Page. There isn't a flow to it. (Admin Vazuras 20:38, 23 August 2010 (UTC))
